Can you please tell me why when
I am recording on my Philips
DVD-VCR recorder that the screen
is blue..when my VCR is operating.
I can't see the TV channel that I
recording..all I get is a blank blue
screen. I have a Samsung HD wall TV
and Cox cable.

Greetings smalljim, welcome to the Forum !

Let me make sure I understand the routing,
Coax into VCR, then another Coax from VCR to TV, right?
No A/V Cables to TV.

Just as a guess at this time, sounds like you aren't selecting your TV Channel to watch the right Channel on the VCR.

That would be either channel 3 or 4.

When the VCR starts to record, try changing the TV to channel 3 or 4.

May I presume you can't watch one channel, while recording another?
Also, what's your TV Source, OTA or pay Cable?

Have a good Day !
