does anyone know where i can get a set of plans to build radiator covers out of wood? i am ready to re-paint a couple of rooms in a very old house that i rent that has ugly radiators. these have bugged me since i moved in and i can't afford to buy metal fabricated ones. i need simple because, i have no workshop. i bought some grating for the front, now i need some plans. any help would be appreciated!! thanks in advance; Don

I have heard that it depends on the kind of wood you use.

Do you have anything in mind already?

thanks for the welcome! no i really don't have any idea where to start. i thought of some kind of formica covered wood but, i checked it out and it looks like it would turn out to be pretty expensive do make 4 of them. i'm open to all suggestions. thanks for the response; Don

Deeput, to tell you the truth I haven't seen any woodcastings for radiators yet other then iron-coated. Are you sure formica is resistant enough against the heat of radiators ?
