friend has a new (i month old) rca 32in t.v.
today he turned it on and it goes right back off.
can anone help

Hi RudyCarz, welcome to the forum.

this might be a defective solder connection in the power supply boards. It could also be there is a problem with the controller. You could monitor the voltage on the relay coil to see what's happening.
