Our RCA tv is taking a long time to get a picture especially after it has been turned off for awhile. The sound is immediate but pic takes about 1-2 minutes if it has been off for awhile...like overnight....or couple of hours.

you dont say what kind of t.v. it is.I am guessing a direct view crt maybe 27 or 32 inch.some of the rca 195 and 203 chassis were known for loose solder on the coils in the horiz drive and flyback area.some of the models even had bulletins out

sounds like picture ctc195 and ctc203 were the worst tv ever build cheap picture design.bad chassic recommend leave on all the time.when it brakes.throw it away.

yes RCA is not the same as old when thomson bought them out years ago they started to go cheap.today alot of the rca t.v. from walmart and kmart even though they have the rca logo they are made in china with different chassis and parts are kind of hard to get
