I have a 13" RCAProscan TX808J set that goes to blue screen occasionally - especially right after turn on. I tried freeze spray and heat gun and they do not effect the rate of failure. I tried reducing signal amplitude in from the cable input and doing it again but found no sensitivitive areas. I have a TX808 schematic but it doesn't match my set well. I don't understand what circuit makes it go to blue screen or where to look with a scope or meter.

I had downloaded this yesterday. I got a zip file which had a .bin file in it instead of a PDF of a manual.... Is there a trick? Thanks.

Oh I am so sorry I never tried this out myself. What's a .bin file? Couldn't that hold a manual inside?

A bin file is usually a firmware file for a microcontroller or something.
I left a message for the website manager.

OK, thanks. (Not that I have any idea what a firmware file or microcontroller is, but that's my fault)

Thanks for updating me - I hope he will answer you shortly
