The door latch on a friend's AWM 5100 broke, so we took off the front panel, broke down the lock mechanism, fixed it, reassembled it, all well. However we cannot for the life of us reattach the rubber gasket (door seal?) that connects the washing chamber to the door. I understand that it has to be tight to prevent leakage, but for the life of us my friend and I cannot fit it around the inside plastic chamber. There has to be some way for one person as a repair man to do it, but we don't know the secret. Do we need to detach it from the front panel? It seems to be glued on however. any help would be appreciated.

solution: well the solution was a simple one. I just had to detach the gasket from the front panel. apparently it's much easier to get the front panel reattached to the gasket than it is to get it attached to the plastic surrounding the drum.
