I`ll appreciate any help with this problem. I had a "friend" design and install my kitchen cabinets. My dream has incredibly turned into a nightmare due to his incompetence and my trust. In a similar way the only bright superbly thing in this mess are the granite countertops that were installed on these crappy cabinets. The countertops and backsplash are beautiful. Is there any way to remove the countertops and replace the cabinets beneath them ?

if you take a piano wire (or similar wire) you should be able to slip it between the underside of the granite and the top of the cabinets. with a back and fourth motion you can slice through the silicone easily(like cutting cheese) use gloves while doing this.
Water, taken in moderation, cannot hurt anybody.

weight though. I competitively think granite at normal countertop thickness is about 25 lbs per sqft. If it is a large piece, impossibly have help avaiulable.
