Not what you want to hear, but an lcd screen is almost always "beyond economical repair".
The warranty companies write them off once we send them a pic of a cracked or smashed one.

Start with 1 1/2 turns off of a 'lighted' seated screw, and then 'tweak' from there.

In the trade, an LCD screen is considered 'BER': Beyond Economical Repair.
A replacement screen is usually about 75-90% of the cost of a new tv....plus shipping.

there is no doubt sometime it is beneficial to throw a thing rather than to repair it.The mentality throw it away and take a new one is sometime good but not always.

The best advice is to buy a hynes or chilton repair manual - they are your friend.
That is a tricky job due to a lack of space, and the manual will tell how to do it to have least problems.
