It's a pain in the You know what! If it has an airbag, pay someone else to do it. If not you will need a steering wheel puller, phillips head screw driver, snap ring spreader, flat head screw driver.
Once you get the steering wheel off disconnect the arm from the switch and unbolt the switch from the column, disconnect the wiring harness.
Connect the harness to the new switch and put the column back together in reverse of the above.
FYI: Steering columns are collapsible, so if the shaft is suddenly to short when you put the steering wheel on. Remove the steering wheel thread the nut onto the shaft, use a pair of pliers/channel lock pliers and pull the shaft back out.
