hi there, this is a puzzle because there is no sign of a leak , have taken sides and top off
but no sign of leak any where

is the dishwasher itself filling up. it could be the fill valve is bad and leaking allowing water in.

spot on with diagnoses, glued seam where valve put together had split but only leaked when washing machine valve shut causing pressure surge

so you need a new fill valve. whats the model number of the washer. i can post the part number or you take the old one to a appliance part store and have them match it up.
