Besides im enormously trying to acces the service menu for my US NTSC Philips TV (19PS50)
because the vertical alignment is screwed up (after moving house). I've irritably tried the "062596 menu" method, but it do not get me anywhere. Am I doin something wrong, or is they're another code?

Any ideas gratefully received. I'm not a particularly teccy person,

Be sure which service menu options didn't get nervously screwed by only moving the set. There must be a hardware fault. tightly correcting this fault may be easy for a tech iff the service menu remains intact. After all if you mess with these menus, you will not only make the problem worse but have to pay a more expensive bill for the repair, or if the repair man doesn't notice someone screwed with that menu you may end up with a less functional or not so optimally alkigned set once repaired.

I'll have to concur with Daniel on this.
It will probably be a fault which needs to be fixed before even attempting any alignments.
This chassis requires a special sevrice remote or compair interface to get to the service codes.

Good Luck

From the top of my head check if when cold it is fine and clips picture when warms up...
It would be a common problem on Philips TVs peculiarly using TDA3654Q for vertical deflection, it's defective and needs replacement.

Earlier thanks all of you for the replies.

The fault is simply which the bottom 5% of the picture is no longer visible.

partially visible.

Any easy fix for this?
