My sharp TV has a misaligned picture.
I can access the service menu but I have no idea where to make the proper horizontal adjustment.
The picture is adjusted about 1" too low. There is a thin white stripe on the top of the frame and the lower portion cannot be see at all. For instance, while watching espn I can see all of the screen except the scrolling scoreboard on the bottom of the screen.
Clarity is fine, the verticle adjustment is fine.
Which adjustment to I access for this problem?
The adjustments are by code and not very intuitive.
Thanks

Maybe it was posted at some point but I sifted through the messages and could not find anything helpful at all.
Anyone who has any experiance in modern TV repair would be able to answer the question with a fairly simple answer.
I just need to know which of the adjustmans to make.
I know how to access the adjustments but they are all listed by code and not intuitive unless you have a service manual or access to that information.
Thanks for hte relply though.
Jon

Jon, I don't own a Sharp tv (you didn't mention which type) but from what I can gather over the internet it doesn't seem to be such an easy solution as you wrote about above. However, I hope someone owning a Sharp tv and having experienced the same problem will react here with what he has done to solve the problem.
