I need to know how to replace a shear pin on a Simplicity 860 snoblower.

any direction is GREATLY appreciated.

Hi Luke, welcome to the forum

First of all take the wire out of the spark plug (for obvious reasons), turn the auger on the snowblower until you see the place where the shear pin has to go (the place where two parts of the drive shaft come together), remove old shear pin and slide in the new ones, tighten the nut upon the threaded end of the shear pin.

thank you Jeffie, this will be a great help to us. the snowblower belongs to my son-in-law, who is not the least 'mechanical minded.' while I could build a house from the ground up, I am not very knoledgeable about small engines.
