I'm trying to find a creative way to build some kind of a shelf (free-standing) that will elevate my indoor plants (or alternatively, buy something that gets the job done). It would be best if the shelf were in basket form. I want the basket to be elevated about 6 ft off the ground, and would prefer it to have an earthy look to it, but if I can just build something that looks really interesting, that will do. My dad suggested that I stack milk cartons. I have no idea wtf he was talking about. Any advice? My plan B right now is to buy one of those really ugly shelf racks at Lowes for ~$50.

I'm sorry, I'm trying to picture this but have no idea what you mean exactly.
