I also have a JVC Everio gz-mc200 with cracked LCD. I do NOT want to repair, but-- Shouldn't I remove the cracked LCD before it shorts out and kills the rest of the camera circuits? It happened to my digital camera. It worked ok for awhile then, started sparking at one point on the crack, and burned up. Quite interesting to watch.

If you can remove, I dont see a problem.
