Trying to replace my shower faucet of about 20 years because the shower diverter on the faucet lets half the water through now. Anyway, there is no visible allen wrench turnable screw when I looked up the tiny little hole underneith the faucet near the shower wall. All that is there is a pipe with green crap all over it. The instructions on the new faucet say if there is no screw, turn counter clockwise. Well, if I turn any harder I might as well rip the pipes from the walls instead. So far we had to call a plumber to replace the handle which was causing drips but even then the new handle never worked and we have to use a screw driver to push the part the handle is suppose to push in far enough to cause the dripping to stop, so to avoid wasting $60-$100 again on a worthless plumber visit, does anyone know how to do this?...
