Hi
Our living room is permeated with the smell of burned wood from our fire place.
We have already had a chimney sweep come by, but it did little to improve the smell. The smell seems to worsen when the weather is hot. The flue is closed.
Can anyone advise me on this please ?

Make sure your flue damper is closed and making a good seal.

Clean out the grate and open a window and the flue - thus creating a draft flow to take the stale air away..
