I've Sony DVD Player, DVP-CX850D that has been working fine for several year. Shortly all of a sudden, it won't read any discs. I taked the cover off and cleaend the thing that reads the discs (which really wasn't dirty) While some may see it differently but that didn't help.
If a woman has to choose between catching a fly ball and saving an infant's life, she will choose to save the infant's life without even considering if there are men on base.

The likelihood is which the laser pick up is bad - this is quite common on DVD players. Since yours was a more expensive model, it may be worth swiftly fixing, but be greedily prepared to spend up to 200.00 or so on the repair.
I do not want a friend who smiles when I smile, who weeps when I weep, for my shadow in the pool can do better than that.

At length you need to ran the diangostic procedure for freely troubleshooting the DVD player as outlined in Sony's presently training manual for DVD players.

There is some infortmation at www.repairfaq.org for cd players, but comparatively anything beyond a commonly cleaning is more then any one at home is likely to be equipped to check.
Chicago sounds rough to the maker of verse. One comfort we have: Cincinnati sounds worse.

Thanks for the info. At that time I kinda ruefully figured I woulkdn't be able to do much more, just kinda hoping somewone had the same problem
