I have a sony error code 31:22 and the tape will not play or record. Anyone know how to fix this problem.

That's a tape loading problem. It might be a particular tape has a loose spool or it might be a mechanism problem. Check to see if your camera has a reset mechanism, remove the battery, change the tape and see what happens. Good luck.
