Okay, I there is a small black plastic piece missing from the area where the tape is read inside the camera. Look at the picture, the circled spot is where the missing piece goes and there's any arrow pointing to the piece that is missing (there needs to be one on each side...) It will not read or record to tapes without this piece.

Is there anyway to fix this without the missing piece? If not, is it possible to buy replacement pieces?

hellsing56, I'd go to a camera repair store (or a few camera repair stores) and ask if they have this part and if it is possible to buy it from them.
