I have a 57" reverse projector since 2002 which has had no problems since we bought it 5 years ago. Recently it has developed a series of evenly spaced light green rings that arch from the lower right side across to the upper right side of the screen. It is only visible against a very dark back ground and even then it its very faint. I can't say its always on there at all but pops up regularly at least. So what is the most likely problem that could cause this or how could I check it out further. They look sort of like widely spaced rings on a tree trunk though very faint.

Drizler welcome to the forum

I am afraid I have never encountered a problem such as yours and my advise would be to contact the Sony customer support by mail, here is their link:

please click here

Please let me know if this helps you in any way.

Nope, Thanks for the website though. I couldn't find my manual and at least I can access that one now if I need it. I am going to go and check the various wire connectors the next chance I get and see if something there is creating it. The one thing the manual said was to move the tv further from a source of electronic interference if it was experiencing lines and or dots on the screen. Trouble is it has sat in the same place since 2002 with no nearby changes of electronics. Who knows it could possibly even be some random power supply plugged in nearby going bad. I will have to do some process of elimination till I see how it goes. At least its something I can put up with till a solution is found.

The elimination process is a tough, patience enduring and slow process, but it proves the most effective in many cases

Will you let me know of your progress?
