I have a ABS plastic toy boat that I wanted to make look good
and last so I lightly sanded it and painted it with
Valspars Plasti-Kote spray enamel ...fast dry ""odds n ends "" paint.

the issue is it does not want to dry / harden
after 50 plus hours it still feels tacky and is very easy to mar /scuff
I have baked it for 4-6 hours at 90f and still no luck

what would / should I do to harden the paint ?
can I clear coat it ? if so do I trust the Valspars Plasti-Kote spray enamel
to do it ?( they have a CC )
thanks

k9000wner, welcome to the forum I would definitely clear coat it. However if it was me going through this experience with this product I would not use the same brand again for that. But, that's just me

Not really, K9000wner. There are so many brands to chose from and I try to abstain from recommending (and in that advertising) any particular brand. I hope you understand?

Yea I understand ...
however it would be nice if someone could ref a clear coat (enamel type)
that has a very hard finish ....

anyone??? or perhaps a site(www) that has a hardness test / scale of
paints hardness toughness???
