surface profile measurement using kss 210a

Hi All,

can someone teach me how to unsolder the short circult of the pins of the KSS 210a optical pickup. And can someone send me a data sheet of the optical pickup kss 210a. I am a research student doing a project on surface profile measurement using optical pick up head. I hope you guys can help me out!

I am having difficults trying to find the focus error of the optical pickup and also the S curve.

Can i test the output of the individual photodiode of the optical pickup without an RF amplifier chip. What sort of wave form will i get?

I see that a datasheet for the optical pickup kss 210a is not readily available online. I hope one of our members have such in his/her possession and will read your message.

I'll also keep on looking out for it meanwhile.

Thanks Jeffie, I am hoping someone is an expert in this field. This is my first time playing around with optical pickups...

And yes the datasheet for KSS 210a is really hard to find.

Strangely enough I can easily find datasheets for the ks210a in Russian - but I presume you don't understand that language any better than I do
