My CD player loading tray will not rotate. I took off the covers and if I manually rotate the cam that raises the CD reader and turn on the power the motor for the loading tray rotates. This tells me the motor is OK but it will not run when I load a CD. I tried disk skip and various commands but the motor does not run. I have a service manual but I don't see any sections for this problem.

Welcome to the forum, tband I think you might have a problem with the distance of the pick-up from the center of the turntable (the distance is responsible for rotating in CD's not the engine).
