The overhead light of our Craftsman garage door opener #139....

The overhead light of our Craftsman garage door opener #139.53985D goes off after the door opens all the way (like the power is off). The light must be on in order for the door to work properly. The only way to get the light back on is by luck or to tap the unit until the light goes on. Any help/input is appreciated. Thanks.

either bulb is intermittant like a bath room night light bulb .or it is lose in socket or the socket its bad the garage door has alot of vibration going up and down.i work for sears at one time these doors are a cheap peice a shit.i will not buy anything at sears,kmark,walmart i shop with the small man.
