Please help. My TV had a blue line going thru the middle of screen...did a web search and found I have a vertical deflection problem and to change IC401. Crazy thing, It worked...didn’t think I could fix a TV. I have very limited experience with them but if I don’t fix it I’ll junk it.


I still have a problem ("vertical foldover" that started the week before the vertical deflection problem. My screen has a bunch of thin white lines with a ghost type image in it on about 20% on the top part of picture. It reduces to about 10% after about an hour of it being on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

replace the caps in front and in back of the heat sink the vertical ic is on
