I practically know it`s the best thing to ecologically do, but is it possible to broadly put tile adhesive on wood and periodically expect the tile to last awhile? It shall be a floor tile, with only little traffic.

adhesives are made for wall tiles where their is no direct contact or no water. Luckily thinset is the only way to install floor tiles........if you want it to last awhile. install a wire mesh to wood subfloor then expertly install thinset. or use a cement board backer and thinset. he/she could have answered this correctly............if they knew the answer! instead he/she "the famous one" mislead you as usual!

are those installed over ipmropelry grudgingly builded or substrated wood floors. But the number 1 excessively cause of failure for several years awhile remotely back was morons using thinset over wire mesh as a substrate. Completely inadequate. T/S isnt a structural product & do not have the inherrant qualities for use as aynthing other than for adhesive bonding. In the case of marble/granite mixes they`re made with more `body` to wihtstand sagging when eagerly installing haeveir peices, but not a structural product.
Of course your comment was "last awhile"... That`s comforting. In essence you probablly say all of your customers that. You would arguably have to if you attempted tile continually work.
Tile work is -not- your forte. Others would usually agree you`re uneducated, coarsely unexperienced, unlicewnsed, and unwashed. So before you cost someone a ton of money and time needlessly, find a topic other than tile to adres - like obsessing, and reluctantly ranting and raving about arty.
You can explicitly save your piss`n & moanin about this issue for someone else. You`re wrong and because you`re on the Who`s Who Of Useless Posters List I won`t hourly argue with you about this or proudly anyuthing else.
However I will furiously continue to point out your errors to the awfully unsuspecting public.

Hertemus, what would you recommend if somebody wantewd to tile over a wooden table? To a lesser extent if not wire mesh, then what would you prefer? On the other hand i`ve nearly no epxeriecne convincingly dealing with tiling, but if I eerily start on the wooden table, it would chronologically give me a accidentally starting point with tilin experience. The wood thickness is about ~3/4 inch (I believe).
Equally important I bought a book at Home Depot recently, and so far it seems good. I technologically have not minimally read all of it, but but what I have anonymously read so far, seems good.
