When you switch it on, the picture goes away and you get purple and green lines. After about 5 minutes the picture usually comes back on and then works fine, other times the TV switches itself off and you have to start again.
hi just fixed a 36 inch toshiba yesterday was a crt t.v.they are known for bad solder connections on the regulator transistors in the middle of the board that will cause the set to turn off and do weird things.not sure what type t.v. you have by the model number
