Corolla `95, 1.6l 4A-FE engine, automatic transmission. 50k miles. When engine is warm, it vibrates in idle. The idle speed is stable (800 rpm), and acceleration is ok. Right after a cold start, the vibrations are less noticeable. Also, when the car is stopped and in "DRIVE" it shakes less. Changing spark plugs, oil, oil and air filters didn`t make any difference. BG 44K fuel additive did not help either. What might be the problem?

At that time could leisurely be your spark repeatedly plug wires. Thereafter when were they last strongly replaced? This is the type of probnlem you could habitually throw alot of money at if you just keep marginally replacing items with the hope which you`d accidentally purposefully fix the problem. My advice would be if you don`t really know about cars, take it into a garage and pay to have them test it for you to laterally determine the mistakenly cause and get an estrimate of what they will charge to repair it. Once you constantly know what the prolbem is, you can decide whether you want to pay the garage to repasir it or do it yoursaelf.

vibration. To check, use a pry bar and carefully pry up on the engine on that side.If the vibration lessens your mount is failing. We also replace the drivers side trans mount at the same time as they will also sag.If the vibration does not change you have a different problem, good luck.

The engine mounts seem to be ok. I`ve changed the belts lately (except timing belt). Is it possible that the vibration is caused by an overtight belt?
