I have a 1996 chevy silverado 1500 ext. cab. my problem is while driving on the highway my truck off and start back up while driving.I pull off the road and it started hesitating and missing real bad,so I push on the gas and it cut off and woudn't start back up ,no matter how many times I cranked it.I change the fuel filter, rotor button, distributor cap
no luck. Please help!

Have you checked how much fuel pressure it has??

No,I haven't,but before all this started, my brake pedal got real hard to press down and when i came to a red ight it will shut off.Maybe the brake booster i dont know!Whenever I tried to crank it it back fired through the throttle body,possible timming chain bad need replacing? or can the camshaft interrupter-magent gone bad in the distributor?
