TV - Digital Converters

I have my coupons on order to get digital converter boxes in preparation for the change coming in Feb. My question is, what differences are there in available converters.....are they all of the same quality.....any preferences?
Best Buy has them for $60 and the coupon is worth $40. I guess Radio Shack and others have them too.
Which ones should I buy. I will need 4 of them for my present analog tv's. Although my RCA 32in tv just failed and will not turn on and I am not getting any ideas to fix it here so I may have to bite the bullet and get a new one. Best Buy has a Toshiba 32 in LCD model for $600. I have not looked but I guess there are still CRT models available too.
Another question....what do I do with the old 32in console model....how do you get rid of it??
