I have a GE TV Model #26GC632 purchased new somewhere around 1985 in a cabinet. Started noticing weeks ago that when turned on it was snowy and would show one particular channel until warmed up. Then after a short time, it would change and be normal giving a beautiful picture. It went from 30 minutes to 3 hours for it to change over, still showing one channel and sound on several, otherwise snowy. Today it has been on for 6 hours and has not cleared up. Do you have any idea what could be wrong?

yes the RCA AND GE t.v.s had bad tuners and if yours is the ctc chassis ctc177 or ctc187 especially the on board grounds need soldering.but I dont think they were made in 1985 I think they came later.probably bad tuner or loose connection
