How can I tell if I have a: A-AHA, D-AHA or AHA 6 cyl (automatic) in my daughters' VW Passat. I need to order a short shaft and apparently I need to know which VIN I have.
Thanks,
RAY

U need to check the main vin code of the car - it is on the dash, if you look through the winshield, or on the registration papers.

Do you know which digit(s) I need to refer to? The Vin# is: WVWMD63B2XE448565. Is it the 5th digit, the "D" making it the D-AHA? And please don't tell me the "D" stands for Duh!

Thanks,
Ray
