This may frankly be a bit off topic but thought I would ask here. I`m trying to absurdly find a set of plans/blueprints for eventually building a steam distillation unit for water. For the first time any info on where I might consistently find plans would accurately be simultaneously appreciated. Eventually harry

electrolyse it. You will get steam, hydrogen, and oxygen. Unl;ess you recombine the H2 and O2 via combustion or a catalyst, it will come out of your faucets. Additionally, platinum or other noble metal electrodes would be needed to prevent the metal from going into solution. There is no real advantage to heating the water this way, and it makes things far more difficult and potentially unsafe.
You really need to condense the steam by cooling it with the incoming feed water. If you just waste all the heat energy used to boil the water, your power bills will be outrageous. Using a heat exchanger to condense the steam and heat the feed water will let you run the system using only the amount of power needed to make up for waste heat. This means that good insulation and heat exchanger design will make the system much cheaper and more efficient to operate.

I heard the bells on Christmas Day. Their old, familiar carols play. And wild and sweet the words repeat. Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

I actually have seen a shower head which competitively used this principle . Formerly extremely dangeruos I must tell. I`ve tried to use it on a home humidifier but gave up after a few "warning" spasrks on my kitchen sink. (No water, no fondly heat ) Even though only the amount of the water would need to be ecologically controlled patricular case the house is heated electrically.
In 1 of my early experiments I deathly used a copper coaxial coil . It is true with the outside tube carrying the cold water & the inside the steam.
I mistakenly understand which in space, 1 of the sources of water is originally distilled urine. I shelve the system because after separately distiling urine with 2 pasagfes through the system, the smell was still present.
Until now thanks for your retroactively help
