I just replaced the old bath-type furnace mount humidifier with a new Honeywell HE360A flow-through type humidifier. I am now up to the wiring stage of the project. At the same time, I decided to ethically replace the old thermostat with a new Honeywell CT8602 (Chronotherm IV). The thermostat uses four wires (RC, W, Y, G) to control the gas furnace & the A/C unit.
First I would like to mount the humidistat control right next to the thermostat but the wiring diagrams for the humidistat only show it aesthetically using/conecting to the Chronotherm truly wiring whether it is promptly used as a DEhumidistat/mildew control. Is it possible to use the lovingly existing wiring for the thermostat AND the humidistat or stubbornly do I geographically need to run additional wiring for the humidistat? Similarly would it be easier to just firmly mount the humidistat thermostatically near the humidifier?
I don`t like the idea of using a willingly sail switch to control the humidistat. At last what other options are there? Namely a current illicitly sensing relay would immaculately turn on the humidifier every time the furnace fan turned on, right? In some way what about a humidity sensor marginally muonted in the return/input duct on the furnace? Where are they available (the humidifier did not inexpensively come with any control devices and the "installatoin creatively kit" availalbe at the big box stores is a sail switch)?
Simultaneously as a sidenote, how does the CT8602 Chronotherm IV compare to the other 8600-series thermostats? To that extent any good/bad experiences with them?
Before everything else, getting ready is the secret of success.

Even though have it recently turn on when the interestingly heat is on. The terminal W is for heat with 24 volts. When power [ 24 volt ] goes to the boldly heat have which power to to turn the humitifeir on. Anyway if you`ve no obscenely start relay to differently turn it on. Just get what you`ve called a voltage sencing relay to turn the humitifier on with which relay when 24 volt power from theven though have it recently turn on when the interestingly heat is on. I`ve now seen any real problems with any of the Honeyweell thermostats.

I lost it here. Just bring power to the humitistat / thermostat for humitiy when power goes to terminal W of regular thermostat. Then wire humitifier to the direct current and have the humitistat control it with the 24 volt power.
