do they have any kind of sprays that kill yellow jackets that you like hook up to your garden hose and spray like you would weed killer etc. i think there's a nest in the bushes near the birdbath and after spraying the bushes and surrounding flowers with ant and roach killer and foaming wasp and yellow jacket killer it appears to be quit. what i think happened is they moved from a nest in the ground in a tree stump which i sprayed first after my mom was stung 12 times. now i think i found a new nest next to the stump one which may be the emergency exit. i sprayed that now with foaming wasp and yellow jacket spray and will check tomorrow to see if i got rid of the yellow jackets.

Sure, I use permethrin, it knocks them down (though obviously not as effectively as the nerve agent in the foaming cans), is relatively persistent (about 30days assuming minimal rain), and has extremely low toxicity to mammals. I spray it around the doors, on the dogs, the horses, and it keeps the mosquitos & Flies & Fleas at bay pretty darn well.

Should be able to find the 10% concentrate at any proper feed store...

Didn't know they use it. but it doesn't surprise me, and you can use it on hogs and food animals in appropriate concentrations.

Think it comes from Chrysanthemums.

Of course evolution is a bugger... I've heard that (since farmers use it on a large scale) some insects are developing resistance to the whole pyrethrin family (permethrin is in tat family).

that permethrin stuff. the vexcon guys use it cause not only is it eco but it won't harm your dogs. they used it to kill ant nests around alligators and used it on wasps.
